We have a whole day of Reading activities planned at Tiernasligo NS for World Book Day!
- All students have access to Accelerated Reader and Reading Eggs to practice their reading throughout the day.
- Our Senior Room students will be working with Junior Room students on 'Buddy Reading'.
- We also have access to World Book Day Zoom sessions with well-known authors for each class, including Dragonterra Author Louise Flanagan.
Our student council have also organised a competition for each Class.
- Junior & Senior Infants are colouring bookmarks, 1st Class are designing their own Book Covers! (Junior Room)
- 2nd/3rd/4th Class (Middle Room) are designing bookmarks and writing book reviews
- 5th & 6th Class (Senior Room) are taking part in Book Day Bingo! They are also doing Book Reviews.
- We have 2 copies of each World Book Day Special Edition book as prizes for the competitions!
