Cara Donaghey Visits for Creative Schools Print Art Workshops

The students in all 3 classrooms at Tiernasligo NS took part in a Botanical Monoprint workshop with Printmaker Cara Donaghey. 

The Junior Room created a collaborative artwork, and the Middle and Senior Rooms created their own Botanic "texture maps" along with an 8-page folded 'zine with their printed works. 

This visit forms part of the Creative Schools Programme sponsored by The Arts Council of Ireland. Cara used the local plants and leaves in our gardens as the inspiration for this group project. The students were so enthusiastic in the sessions and created lovely pieces.Well done to all.
