We are well into the planning stages of the DEIS Literacy and Numeracy Summer Camps!
We have allocated the places for each week.
Staffing will be as follows:
Summer Camp Organiser and Manager: Mr. Shane Ruane
Week 1: 29th June-3rd July
Junior Group: Ms. Joanne Curran
Senior Group: Ms. Emma Devlin
Week 2: 6th July - 10th July
Junior Group: Ms. Emma Devlin
Senior Group: Ms. Paula McLaughlin
We have reached also reached out to a number of external providers to add variety to the camps including;
- Spanish lessons with Ms. Walls
- Rugby Skills with Tara
- Creative Writing with Gráinne
- Fit4You with Tommy Mulhern
- Baking / Cupcake making with Emma
- GAA Practice with Urris GAA
- Community Garda Unit
We are also planning a trip out of the school each week if possible. E.g. Trip to the Waterfall / A beach trip or Library Visit.
Transport
A bus run will be arranged for current Bus Eireann ticket holders.
Lunches
As it stands at the moment, there is no mention of school meals being included. Therefore children will have to bring a packed lunch.
